In spring of 2007 Davida came to visit me in Budapest. It was a wonderful visit! I asked her to bring some of Maxine's recipes along for the ride, thinking that we might find something fun and nostalgic to cook together. She showed up with a whole box full of file cards! We sat on my balcony overlooking the buda hills going through them together and sharing memories... This project is the product of that fun evenning.
In honor of Maxine's fourth yarzeit, 12 Av 5768, we have decided to share our secret project with the virtual world so everyone can enjoy it! Keep in mind that it is a work in progress and we plan on continuing to update it. We hope that there will even be a printed format of some kind in the future.
